During the course of the conference the University’s Special Collections will be hosting events for delegates of the George MacDonald’s Scotland conference.
Workshops will be held on Wednesday the 19th of July where a selection of archive material from the University of Aberdeen’s Special Collections, the Aberdeenshire Council Archives, and Items held by the MacDonald family will be available to handle. Due to the nature of this event, groups will be limited to 10 people. There will be multiple sessions to give as many delegates as possible the opportunity to explore the collections.
In addition to the workshops. All delegates are eligible to access the reading rooms to view the university’s full MacDonald holdings, which, besides a wide selection of first editions, includes the following manuscripts:

Anyone interested in consulting the university’s collection will need to place a request, stating call numbers, as well as the date and time they wish to consult the collection.
